Pre-Publish 14 Movement in Publish 14 Client.
One of the main reasons we didn't want to switch to Publish 14, was because of the new "snappy" movement that SOE introduced into the client.
We think it sucks.
But some people like it.
For those of us who don't, I have found a way to use the movement system from Pre-Publish 14.
You can do this a couple different ways.
A) You can install Launchpad Enhanced, and it will automatically download the modification for you.
or
B) You can extract the file needed yourself using SWGExplorer.
The file is object/creature/player/base/shared_base_player.iff
The newest TRE pre-pub 14 with that file in it, I believe is Patch06.tre.
You will need to place this file in object/creature/player/base INSIDE your main SWGEmu directory.
IE: Mine is
C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxiesEmuPUB14\object\creature\pla yer\base
If you do not want the old movement mod, simply delete the file from that directory.
Using this mod does NOT give you an edge over other players. It is simply a preference.
